Saturday evening will be fan-appreciation night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park as the Colorado Rapids will play their final home game of the season against Montreal Impact. Kickoff was pushed to an earlier time-slot as the United States National Team will play Mexico in the CONCACAF Playoff in Pasadena, CA at the Rose Bowl Stadium. That game is set for 7:00pm MT on Fox Sports 1.

Colorado (8-13-10, 34 points) were officially eliminated from the playoffs after their disappointing 2-1 loss to Real Salt Lake on Sunday night. The Rapids went ahead courtesy of a fantastic header by Kevin Doyle, but goals by Joao Plata and Luke Mulholland sealed the result before the half. One consolation was the Rocky Mountain Cup returning to Colorado, but the loss proved to be a buzz-kill.

Montreal (12-13-6, 42 points) are currently in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Former Ivory Coast and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revived the club's hopes of securing a postseason spot. However, in a mid-week game, the New York Red Bulls defeated Montreal 2-1. Former Red Bull's defender Ambroise Oyongo was given a straight red card and Sacha Kljestan and Lloyd Sam put le Impact to the sword.

Despite the Colorado Rapids having two more matches on the road, it would mean a lot for the fans for the team to be victorious at home for the final time in 2015. The season has been a disaster, and all signs have pointed to the club keeping Pablo Mastroeni, despite two years of finishing near (or at) the bottom of the Western Conference. With that being said, Come on you Rapids! Let's beat Montreal!
