Saturday, July 25 was a special night for the Colorado Rapids. Pablo Mastroeni, he greatest player to ever pull on Burgundy, had his name placed in the Gallery of Honor at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and the Rapids played a terrific game in defeating Chivas USA 3-0. The victory was important in so many ways for the Burgundy Boys, and no one in their right mind would have foreseen that win as the last one of the year. There was just no way that could happen.
And yet, July 25, was the last time the Rapids tasted victory in 2014.

Hero of the Match: The Lads in Burgundy. This was one of the true highlights of the year and the goals from Nick LaBrocca, Drew Moor and Gabriel Torres were nice punctuations on a very important night in Rapids history. Excellent stuff by all on this wonderful night.
Goat of the Match: Supporters who were not there. 14,562 for a beautiful summer evening where the greatest Rapid is getting inducted into the Gallery of Honor. A terrible showing on Pablo's night....and remember, the team was in third place in the Western Conference. If the club is playing well and not drawing what happens if they start to suck?
