The Colorado Rapids will travel to CenturyLink Field for a tough matchup against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday afternoon. The Rapids are in the midst of a season-high 5 game losing streak and are desperate to log a result at a stadium where the Rocky Mountain side has traditionally struggled.

Colorado (8-11-6) lost a heartbreaking game on August 20th against the Los Angeles Galaxy at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids found themselves up 3-1 at the break, only to be undone by LA Galaxy's biggest stars as Landon Donovan eventually claimed the game winner as LA prevailed 4-3. Colorado also lost Jared Watts to a hamstring strain.

Seattle (14-7-3) are still in 1st place in the Western Conference after a 4-2 win over rivals Portland Timbers on the weekend. Sounders forward Obafemi Martins scored two goals and added an assist as the Emerald City club won against Portland at Providence Park.

In the first matchup of the season, Seattle claimed a 4-1 win over Colorado at CenturyLink Field back in April. Clint Dempsey scored a brace, while Lamar Neagle and Obafemi Martins also found the scoresheet. The Rapids have never won in Seattle in all competitions, a span of 9 games. They did, however, earn the first draw in team history there last season during a 1-1 affair.
