There were so many parallels between this match and the 3-1 loss against Chivas USA match earlier this season that I was joking at the British Bulldog about just copy-pasting the match recap from that one. I'm not quite going to do that, but it's right here if you want to look anyway.
Here were the biggest differences between that match and this one:
* Pablo Mastroeni is getting blame, but in this case he was in a far worse situation. With a big inter-conference match against a rival this weekend and a lot more players injured than last time around, he chose to play an incredibly weak lineup and didn't get away with it.
* There wasn't an own-goal in the first one.
* The Rapids didn't trade a player to the team that smacked them down right before the game this time.
* Deshorn Brown didn't score a garbage-time consolation goal this time around.
...Actually, that's about it. On to the weekend!
