The Colorado Rapids will look to continue their unbeaten run before a two-week break in league play due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Colorado has recorded 7 points in their past 3 matches, while only conceding one goal during that span. As much of the country prepares to turn its attention to Brazil for the World Cup, there is a final slate of league fixtures before Brazil and Croatia square off on June 12th to open the tournament.

Colorado (6-4-4) are coming off a congested fixture list which most recently saw the Rocky Mountain side draw Chicago Fire at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Wednesday night. Commerce City was spared from the Thunderstorms over Denver and Aurora, but chances were few and far between as both clubs settled for a share of the spoils after a 0-0 draw.

FC Dallas (5-7-3) are coming off a 2-1 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes on the weekend. To make matters worse, the Texan club has not won in 8 matches. FC Dallas have recorded 2 draws, and 6 losses in that span. Their last win came against Toronto FC on April 19th, at Toyota Stadium.

The Rapids currently find themselves in third place in the Western Conference. Head coach Pablo Mastroeni chose a reserve-heavy squad on Wednesday, so several key regulars should be sharp and rested. Out of the eight changes to the lineup that defeated Houston on the weekend, only Shane O'Neill, Drew Moor, and Nick LaBrocca kept their places. Colorado also has seven clean sheets on the season.
