Every day of the World Cup, we'll have a preview of the day's events. Feel free to chat about the day's matches in here as they unfold.
So, refereeing aside, the first day of the World Cup brought us a pretty fun match. From this point until the end of the group stage, we're going to be flooded with games every single day, and it's going to be awesome.
Mexico vs. Cameroon - 10 pm
The majority of the groups in this World Cup have a set-up like 'some good teams and then one bad one'. Sorry to Cameroon, but that's the case with group A as well, and even though Mexico are clearly the third-best team in the group, there's still enough of a talent gap that Cameroon will need to dig deep to get themselves into a position for some points.
Spain vs. Netherlands - 1 pm
Only one day in and we already have a hugely hyped game! It's the rematch of the 2010 final, and it could decide who wins this group in the end. Both teams are not as good as they were in 2010, but there's still plenty of great talent to be had. Chile will likely be watching this and hoping for a draw.
Chile vs. Australia - 4 pm
This is probably going to be the biggest blowout of the day. Australia are not going to get out of Group B unless some manner of miracle happens, and the rest of the teams in the group will likely just be swatting at each other and hoping to get the most goals off of the Socceroos. Sorry, Aussies, but a team with Alexis Sanchez and some other top tier talent is going to be the major favorites here.
