The Colorado Rapids will look to get back to winning ways within the friendly confines of Dick's Sporting Goods Park as the Montreal Impact will make their lone visit to the Colorado capital on Saturday evening. The Rapids are currently on a two-game losing streak while Montreal have only won one of their first ten matches.
Colorado (4-4-3) lost their second in a row after falling 2-1 against fierce rivals Real Salt Lake on the weekend. Joao Plata found himself on the scoresheet in the first half, while Javier Morales scored a controversial penalty to lift the Beehive State club over the Rapids. Drew Moor did score late on, but the goal was merely a consolation as the Rapids were wasteful at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Montreal (1-5-4) are coming off a 1-1 draw against DC United in Washington DC. Jack McInerney scored his fifth goal in the past seven games, but it was not enough as DC United forward Eddie Johnson tallied a late strike for a share of the spoils. Montreal are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference, and have a league-low 7 points.
Rapids forward Gaby Torres is not expected to feature after the Panama hit-man has been sidelined with a leg muscle injury. He has been called up by Panama to represent his national side for international friendlies. Jose Mari has been training with the club and is expected the feature against Montreal.
