Unfortunate news out of Houston, as Colorado Rapids winger Tony Cascio has torn his ACL. Cascio was sent to the Dynamo in the first intra-league loan in the history of Major League Soccer during the off-season, and had been getting some much-needed playing time in Orange before the injury struck.
Cascio had appeared in five games, four of them being starts, for the Dynamo before getting struck down with injury. Cascio had no points for the Dynamo in his appearances, though he had some bright appearances for them despite the lack of straight-up production.
It's likely that Tony will remain with the Dynamo until the end of the season regardless of his injury, since the Rapids will want to hold onto the one-year international slot that they got in the deal. (Cascio and the international slot will move back to their respective teams at the end of the year, assuming that the Dynamo don't sign Cascio from the loan to a full-time deal.)
We wish the best of luck to Tony in his recovery.
