Colorado Rapids vs. Toronto FC - Man Of The Match Poll

Who was the best of the best during Colorado's first regular season victory at BMO Field?

Marko Babiak

Last week, we handed the award for Man of the Match to Jose Mari, and for good reason. This time around, we're back to the old school poll. Who do you think was Colorado's top player against Toronto FC? Here's three guys I have in mind...

Edson Buddle - An obvious selection. The big man continues to look far more comfortable in burgundy (and blue) than he did last year during Injuryfest 2013. Spent the match being in the right place at the right time and providing quite good hold-up play to go along with the game winner he eventually scored.

Dillon Powers - He continues to grow into a superstar right before our eyes. Powers was smart on the ball and had a very good passing game all match long, but he'll mostly be remembered for his Moses-esque run (it split the Reds sea!) in the penalty area before a feathery light touch straight to Buddle.

Shane O'Neill - I thought that Shane had one of his worst matches as a Rapid against Vancouver, but he made up for it against TFC. He did all of his defensive duties well -- Gilberto was wearing him like a cape a few times -- and had very good distribution out of the back. A major part of the clean sheet that the Rapids held, with a few of his patent-pending center back 70-yard jaunts up the field. Drew Moor gave him a MoM shout on twitter after the game, so I figured he'd fit here too.

I expect Dillon Serna might have a fan or two out there who will be voting for 'other'. Know that I only didn't include him because he played so few minutes. Either way, vote away!
