The Colorado Rapids will look to end a run of 11 straight games without a win as the Rocky Mountain side will do battle with bottom feeders Chivas USA on Saturday evening at the StubHub Center. The two clubs will meet for the third time in 2014, with Colorado recording a win and a loss against the Rojiblancos at Dick's Sporting Goods Park earlier in the season.

Colorado (8-15-8) had a rough outing against the Seattle Sounders on the weekend as the Emerald City club won 4-1 after a brace from Obafemi Martins helped put the Rapids to the sword. Clint Dempsey's first ever appearance at Dick's Sporting Goods Park ended with the United States international scoring a penalty kick after Marvell Wynne was adjudged to have handled in the area.

Chivas USA (7-18-6) recently ended their 12-game winless streak as the Southern California side defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0. Felix Borja scored the decisive goal as the home fans were undoubtedly happy after a season of problems on and off the field for the Rojiblancos. Chivas USA will most certainly not feature for at least the next couple of seasons as a new owner group will look to build a new stadium and rebrand the Los Angeles based club.

Shane O'Neill, Marlon Hairston, and Dillon Serna have been called into the United States U-23 National team camp in Brazil. All three players will not feature for the Rapids this weekend. O'Neill would have been suspended due to yellow card accumulation. However, MLS rules mandate that a player be 'in market' to serve the 1-game suspension. Therefore, O'Neill might not be available for Colorado's home finale against FC Dallas.
