With the Major League Soccer regular season entering its final months, the Colorado Rapids are looking for a vital three points at home against Western Conference rivals FC Dallas. The Rapids should receive a boost as Panamanian forward Gabriel Torres scored in Panama's 2-2 draw with Honduras, a result that clinched a world cup berth for the United States and Costa Rica.

Colorado (11-8-9) are coming off an uplifting 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on the weekend. Edson Buddle scored the game winner in convincing fashion as LA Galaxy struggled without offensive stars Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. Colorado goalkeeper Clint Irwin recorded his 10th clean sheet this season which ties Colorado's record held by Joe Cannon.

FC Dallas (10-7-10) are coming off a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps. The match was capped by a goal of more than 50 yards from Jair Benitez who caught Vancouver goalkeeper David Ousted off his line late in the match. The Texan club currently finds itself in 6th place in the West and outside of the playoff picture. However, FC Dallas are only 2 points back from Colorado.

The Denver metro area has had severe rainfall since Thursday and the cities of Boulder, Aurora, and Commerce City have been hit very hard with flooding. The game is scheduled for Saturday evening, but there is a possibility the game could be postponed given the harsh weather conditions.
