In case you have been under a rock the past several weeks, Robbie Rogers, who retired after coming out a few months back, may be planning a return to Major League Soccer. Chicago hold his rights at the moment thanks to the trade that sent Dilly Duka to Chicago and Dominic Oduro to Columbus, but there have been quite a few teams that have expressed interest. The Galaxy are one, and he was even a 'special guest' at a recent training session for them. Colorado has not been one of those teams, but it's an interesting thought to entertain.
I've never personally been a big fan of Rogers, but there's still plenty of room for growth by the guy. Rogers is still only 25 years old. His best soccer, if he continues to work hard, is likely still ahead of him, and he's already shown that he can be a great presence for an MLS side. He has lifted the MLS Cup and scored tons of important goals, something that our team currently lacks.
He even has the most strenuous of connections with Colorado, as he played for our former gaffer Gary Smith at Stevenage prior to his retirement.
So what say you, Rapids fans? Would you want Colorado to make a run at his signature?
