The Colorado Rapids will look to continue their strong form against the San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium, which is on the campus of Santa Clara University. The match will be broadcast at 8:30pm Mountain Time on Altitude.

Colorado (4-4-3) currently find themselves in 5th place in the Western Conference. The Rapids are coming off a 2-0 road win against the Columbus Crew on the weekend. Edson Buddle and Dillon Powers both found the scoresheet as the Rapids are on a two game winning streak. The Rapids will be without the services of Buddle as the MLS Disciplinary Committee have suspended the forward for 1 game following a poor challenge that was only deemed a yellow card against the Crew.

San Jose (3-4-5) have had a slow start to the 2013 campaign. Last season's Supporter's Shield Winners are coming off a 4-0 drubbing to the hands of the Seattle Sounders. Since March 23rd, the club has only recorded one victory over a span of seven matches. Colorado has won four of their last six games.

Colorado's defense will be on their toes as they prepare to stop last year's golden boot winner Chris Wondolowski. Colorado head coach Oscar Pareja has stressed organization for his defense and also stated that Marvell Wynne will be available for selection after being sidelined with a leg injury.
