The 2013 MLS SuperDraft will kick off in a couple of hours, and the Colorado Rapids will have two of the top 11 picks in the proceedings. Originally, they only had the No. 6 spot but their trade that sent Jeff Larentowicz to the Chicago Fire brought in the No. 11 pick as well, along with an international slot. Does that international slot signal that the Rapids are expecting to go for a guy like Kekuta Manneh or Jason Johnson? We'll find out soon, I guess.
Barring any more trades -- and really, why would we bar any more trades with the madness that has already gone down? -- this is the current order for the first round:
1. New England Revolution
2. Chivas USA
3. Toronto FC
4. Toronto FC
5. Vancouver Whitecaps
6. Colorado Rapids
7. FC Dallas
8. Montreal Impact
9. Columbus Crew
10. Vancouver Whitecaps
11. Colorado Rapids
12. Real Salt Lake
13. Houston Dynamo
14. Sporting Kansas City
15. San Jose Earthquakes
16. Seattle Sounders
17. DC United
18. Montreal Impact
19. LA Galaxy
We'll keep you updated on how the draft is going throughout the day on Burgundy Wave. There is certain to be no shortage of action, judging by how yesterday went!
