24 Under 24 is a now annual voting event held by MLS that pits the best players under 24 against each other to see who fans think is the top young talent in MLS. Brek Shea and Fredy Montero have won the previous contests and there are five Colorado Rapids players who are in the discussion this time around.
Davy Armstrong, Martin Rivero, Tony Cascio, Shane O'Neill and Anthony Wallace have all made this season's ballot. Rivero and Cascio are the two most likely players to get a sizable number of votes since the league has seen what they can do, unlike the other three who have either been held out due to lack of experience or injury in Wallace's case.
Sanna Nyassi was the only Rapids player who made it into the voting last season, finishing outside the top 24 but getting a mention on the site as one of the top players. Of course, that ship has sailed now so we need to get Cascio and Rivero into the lexicon this time around.
