Stop the presses, no Colorado Rapids players were selected for the eighteen player roster in the MLS All Star Game.
Martin Rivero and Matt Pickens probably had the best shot at getting one of the coveted spots, but both were held out in the end. Pickens in particular had been playing quite well this season but the bad defense in front of him had made his numbers unfortunately inflated. Really, it was no surprise that such an up and down team was unable to get a player on the squad.

Not much else to say other than that, once again the MLS All-Star Game will feature no Colorado Rapids players and once again, it really doesn't matter all that much. Watching Jeff Larentowicz or Matt Pickens on the field as Chelsea wins 6-0 in front of mostly Blues fans isn't my idea of a good time.
This is probably a good thing, actually. If there were any Rapids on the team, I might feel obligated to watch the game.
