The Rapids are pathetic
Dallas wins 2-1

Wait, what do you mean I have to pad this out to 150 words? Damnit. Well, the Rapids showed once again that when faced with any kind of adversity at all, they fold like an origami swan in a hurricane. They once again had a solid first half but couldn't close any deals, so the score was 0-0 going into the second.

It started off as nicely as any half really has for the Rapids, with Omar Cummings getting a lovely goal after a Rivero-esque pass from Conor Casey in the 50th minute. The rest of the game was pretty much the Rapids 2012 season in a nutshell.

* Solid attacking and confidence from the team after scoring a goal, even when the finishing wasn't all there? Check.
* Letting in a set piece goal because absolutely nobody was marking the target -- in this case Carlos Rodriguez? Check.
* Having absolutely none of that flair or confidence following a tying goal being scored, leading to a winner for the opposing team? (In this case, off a set of defensive lapses they let Fabian Castillo sneak one.) Check.

All right, I've hit my word quota, I'm off to go dance with a bottle of black rum.
