Well over a month ago, we were told that Omar Cumming and Marvell Wynne would both be out for about a month. They had both suffered separate injuries but the idea was still that both should return after that long layoff of an international break.
Unfortunately, the break passed and both were still working off problems with the injuries. It looks like we might be getting some good news come Wednesday's game against the San Jose Earthquakes, in the form of both of our injured cast members being on the bench. Considering as recently as a week ago, Wynne was telling everyone that he was finding it hard to run, that's a pretty awesome development.
Chris Bianchi provided us with the update via Twitter:
Potentially big news for #Rapids: looks like Marvell Wynne and Omar Cummings will be on bench tomorrow. Wynne a bit of surprise

Of course, neither of the two are going to start and I would be surprised if either played for more than 20-30 minutes considering how the team has handled injuries so far this year, especially in the case of Conor Casey.
Quite frankly, if this means 20-30 fewer minutes of Scott Palguta I'm all for it.
