USMNT Roster Features No Rapids, Unsurprisingly

Sorry Jeff, no go for you this time.
Sorry Jeff, no go for you this time.

The last several members of the new US Men's National Team roster were released a few days ago, and in a move that surprises absolutely nobody there are no Colorado Rapids players included on the pivotal roster featuring some big friendlies and World Cup qualifying games.

Klinsmann Completes Training Camp Roster with 11 Additional Players - U.S. Soccer

DEFENDERS (4): Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Oguchi Onyewu (Sporting Lisbon), Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland)

MIDFIELDERS (1): Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

FORWARDS (6): Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA), Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Borussia Dortmund), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Herculez Gomez (Santos), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)

Jeff Larentowicz and Drew Moor were the best contenders to make the squad from the Rapids, but Jurgen Klinnsman made it clear that he is looking for guys in good form right now and pretty much nobody on the Rapids is in fantastic form right now as the team continues to bump up and down every single game in form.

I'm just doing a happy jig seeing that former Rapids player and Santos Laguna form-master Herculez Gomez finally getting another shot with the national squad right now. Does he count as a Rapids player? I'm totally counting him as a Rapids player.
