The 24 Under 24 list is being slowly released by Major League Soccer this week starting today, celebrating the 24 best players in Major League Soccer under the age of 24 years old. Already released are the 'cuts' from the list, the players who slotted into the rankings at 25-40th place. Included are names like Ike Opara, Will Bruin and the Colorado Rapids own Sanna Nyassi.
Former Seattle Sounder Nyassi has scored five goals this season playing in the midfield and as a striker, mostly coming from a tandem up top with Rapids star striker Omar Cummings. He managed to get 34th place in the top 40, coming in 12 short of making the list proper. Considering the overall age of the Rapids as a team and the fact that I doubt Eddie Ababio will be making any lists like that with what little we've seen of him, Sanna is likely to be the only Rapid on any of those lists.
Congratulations to Nyassi for the mini-honor.
