If you don't believe that Drew Moor is one of the most important if not the most important player on the Colorado Rapids, check out this statistic that might see Moor setting an MLS record on August 20th when the Rapids take on Chivas USA at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Moor, with another 90 minute performance last night against the San Jose Earthquakes, has now played the full 90 without injury or substitution in 67 straight regular season games in Major League Soccer. That's not a single minute missed in 6030. (Six thousand and thirty!!) That also just happens to be the tying run as it were for the MLS record of most consecutive 90 minutes played in the regular season.
Moor has very clearly been the Rapids MVP so far this season, playing the most consistent ball week in and week out and even scoring a couple of very important goals for the Rapids while he's been at it. With guys like Sanna Nyassi, Omar Cummings, Conor Casey, Wells Thompson and others only playing good football on occasion more than consistantly, Moor's solid weekly performances have been a big part of their 10-6-10 record this season.
