In a move that we had all assumed we'd see in about February rather than April, the Rapids have re-picked up and signed their first round Superdraft selection this season, Eddie Ababio. The speedy, offensively minded right back was selected out of the University of North Carolina with the 18th overall selection. He had a fantastic training camp with the Rapids in the preseason but was let go afterwards.
With this, Colorado finally has depth on every single part of the defense, with right back being the least covered of any position excepting starters Drew Moor and Marvell Wynne's ability to slide from center over to the side. Along with Danny Earls, he represents the second player that the Rapids had and let go before the season began who is now back in burgundy, although Ababio was technically let go before ever being signed in the first place.
With the Rapids in signing mode we may see another striker brought in with the recent rash of injuries.
