In more offseason house cleaning, the Rapids have unsurprisingly waived former 4th round draft pick Ross Schunk.

Being essentially 6th on the depth chart at striker after his ACL tear that kept him off the team for the entirety of 2010 and maybe even as far back as 7th considering Claudio Lopez can play forward, Schunk being waived is no surprise. He is now free to sign with any team.

He ends his Rapids career with a paltry 3 appearances with the first team, all of them as a substitute and all in 2009.
