Good stuff from Nick Groke here at the Denver Post.
Andrew over at our Nuggets blog Denver Stiffs will be helping host a Rapids viewing party along with the Pid Army and Class VI for the Dallas game at Jake's Restaurant on 38th and Walnut, just past Downtown. Check it out if you need somewhere to watch the game tomorrow!
I like how this was released the day after that post by Denver Stiffs was. Mark Kiszla from the Denver Post quotes a gang of Arsenal fans in this article telling us all about how they dislike Silent Stan. (He mentions the Avalanche in there as well for extra hilarity.)
Our basketball loving friends over at Denver Stiffs are loving Kroenke ownership, at least compared to what the Rockies have. It might just be the fact that Kroenke has always seemed to favor his basketball over his hockey and football (both kinds of football!) though.
And for your 'Altitude Screw Up of the Day', you'll notice that Vancouver has changed their lineup quite a bit for this gam- what do you mean we're playing Dallas?
It's been crazy last 12hours but as you guys know already I have been traded to Portland Timbers. It was really tough to leave Rapids, Fans, and all my people. I will never forget what have you guys done for me in the last 6 years. I have learned so much and I had been greatful to play for you guys an rapids. It's gonna hurt me to play against you guys from now on. I really appreciate for Rapids organization, All my great fans and all people that I met in Colorado. I wish I had time to say goodbye to each one of you guys but in this buisiness sometimes you don't even say bye to your family. Please wish me luck and see you soon! Me with rapids was my highlight of my life and I will never forget! And once again thank you so much for all rapids fans who gave me reason to play this game and please keep supporting Rapids for life. I will see you guys soon!! Respect and so much love.
Kosuke KimuraI just found this wonderful article from November of last year. If anyone ever tries to tell you that Bleacher Report is a decent site, point them to this article. I think my favorite part is when they say the following: "I mean, how can you play a sport like soccer, which requires literally several miles of running per match, and still be fat?" Despite the fact that apparently he thinks there has never been an athletic overweight person, the best part is that probably 40 of the 50 aren't even that overweight looking. Wayne Rooney and Diego Maradona? Really?
