Brian Mullan To Take Part In Brian Ching Testimonial Match

USA TODAY Sports

One Colorado Rapids player will be at Brian Ching's testimonial match in December, that being his former teammate Brian Mullan.

Remember Brian Ching? The guy hasn't done all that much this season, but he has had a very successful career in MLS over the years. He's the leading scorer in Houston Dynamo history, with 56 goals over the years and a trio of MLS Cups with them and the Quakes. He's retiring this season, and the Dynamo are holding a Testimonial game for him. The game will feature a bunch of former teammates from his former MLS teams and the US Men's National Team.

There's a Colorado Rapid among the ranks there, as well. Brian Mullan, who won three MLS Cups with the Earthquakes and the Dynamo alongside Ching before heading to Colorado in 2010, is the only Rapids player on the list.

The game is going to be on December 13th, which may mean it could be the last appearance in any MLS-type game ever for Mullan. (The retirement whistles may be sounding on him soon, with his lack of appearances for the Rapids since the beginning of the season.)
