Are you going to the United States Men's National Team's match against the Costa Ricans on Friday? (No? Well if you want to, keep reading!) You'll have a chance to meet American goalkeeping legend Tony Meola if you are!
Allstate, the official insurance sponsor of U.S. Soccer, has partnered with American soccer legend and former MLS goalkeeper Tony Meola to discuss the upcoming match between the U.S. Men's National Team and Costa Rica. Meola will also be present on match day at the Allstate Fan Zone, a fun and interactive fan experience taking place before the match at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
At the Allstate Fan Zone, soccer fans will have the opportunity to participate in a meet-and-greet autograph session with Meola. The family-friendly event also includes activities and a chance to win future U.S. Men's National Team tickets.
You'll be able to find Meola in the Dick's Sporting Goods Park's VIP East Lot from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and he will be signing autographs from 5:30 until 7:30.
Now for the fun part: in exchange for helping them get the word out, I've been given two tickets to the game, along with two pre-game field tour passes, to give away to my readers.
'How do I win said tickets and tour passes', you ask? Well, they told me I could do anything I wanted for this particular giveaway, so I'm clearly going to have as much fun with it as possible. Go down to the Comments section here and give me the best Haiku that you can come up with that has to do with US Soccer. I don't care if it's about Landon Donovan's goal against Algeria, Jurgen Klinsmann's coaching style or Brek Shea's hair. Make it funny, inspired, whatever. I'll pick the winner Thursday morning at 8 a.m. Mountain Time.
Give me your best 17 syllables and then make sure to go visit Mr. Meola at the Allstate Fan Zone on Friday.
(By the way, if it sounds like I'm picking my favorite haiku, I'm not. I'll just put everyone into a hat that enters.)
