Matt Pickens Might Not Play Against FC Dallas

It's only the season opener and we've already got injury problems! Along with Martin Rivero and Jaime Castrillon, Matt Pickens might not be able to play against FC Dallas.

This has not been a kind off-season to the Rapids in terms of injuries. In addition to Martin Rivero, Jaime Castrillon and Edson Buddle, all of whom we kind of assumed would miss the opener against FC Dallas, it looks like our starting 'keeper will also be on the mend.

Matt Pickens has been battling with a knock for a while now, and Chris Bianchi tweeted on Thursday that it was unlikely he would see the field against Dallas on March 2nd. I don't think I need to be the one to tell you, that's a bad thing.

With Dallas' new, re-tooled offense and Steward Ceus looking rather shaky during the pre-season -- this ain't the sort of game he's going to get an easy clean sheet in like those matches against Chivas and Houston last season -- we might be in for some trouble here. Get well soon, Matt! Please?
