Colorado Rapids To Reveal New Jerseys February 26th

Steve Dykes

As a part of 'Jersey Week' in MLS, Colorado will reveal their new home and away kits in full glory on February 26th.

(Edit: Apparently MLSSoccer.com was lying, the Rapids website is saying Feb. 26th.)

Major League Soccer announced that every club will be revealing at least one new jersey every season starting next year, but the Rapids are one of a couple of clubs that will be starting with new kits in 2013. 'Jersey Week' is scheduled for the end of February, and the Rapids will be one of the first clubs participating, with their reveal scheduled for February 25th at LoDo's.

The event will be open to the public, so it should be a fun one.

We've already seen the new home kits, with white sleeves that emulate Arsenal and the names of 2013 season ticket holders sewn into the fabric in pseudo-hoops.

The away kit will be the big reveal, though it's not a very well kept secret that it's expected to be a dark blue, Colorado Flag-themed kit. (You can see a teaser image of the blue shirt with red trim at the pre-order site for MLS Gear.) I, like many Rapids fans, have thought a Colorado Flag shirt would be a great idea for years, so I'm looking forward to it.

You may insert a snarky comment about a possible kit sponsor here, if you wish.
