Colorado selected attacking full back Kory Kindle with the 25th overall pick in the draft.
With two first-round picks taking care of the need for a future center forward (DeShorn Brown) and another linking presence in the midfield (Dillon Powers), the Colorado Rapids decided to go for the defense with their No. 25 selection. picking up Kory Kindle out of Cal State-Bakersfield.
Kindle is a guy who was a four-year starter at CS-Bakersfield, playing attacking left back. The Rapids were expected to take a center back with this pick, but Kindle was projected as a possible first-rounder thanks to his solid ability to get forward on the left -- the Rapids already have plenty of youth at the left back position with Anthony Wallace and Chris Klute, so Kindle will provide another option.
With that pick finally in the books, the Rapids have completed their picks in the 2013 MLS Draft. They probably won't be trading back in at any point, so that's all she wrote.
