We've been waiting for the announcement of where the US Men's National Team will be playing their Hex game against Costa Rica on March 22nd for a while now. Originally, the rumor was that it would be hosted at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, but we eventually found out that Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City and LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City were also candidates.
We were originally told that the announcement would be coming to us at some point this week, but according to Grant Wahl we're going to be left waiting with bated breath for a bit longer. According to Wahl, the announcement will instead becoming at some point next week. This sounds suspiciously like what MLS seems to do with their schedule announcement every year! (Ideally, we'll know where the game is before March.)
There's no word on what's keeping the announcement up, but hopefully we'll be finding out sooner rather than later.
