With the losses still piling up, the Colorado Rapids are quickly falling to the bottom of the league. It is beginning to look more and more likely that our home-home series against the Timbers might determine last place.

Follow the jump for some links and news from around the world of the Rapids from the last week.

FC Dallas gains ground in West with 3-2 win over Rapids

This match was looking promising for our 'Pids. We started off strong, took the lead and then fell apart to allow Dallas to take a 3-1 lead. Jeff Larentowicz got us back into the game with a great blast off a free kick, but we were never able to get that equalizer.

Rapids failure to put Dallas match away early may prove costly

The Rapids had so many chances on open nets against Dallas it is unfathomable that none of them produced a goal for us. This has plagued the Rapids all season, not finishing on scoring opportunities, and last nights loss allowed Dallas to pull away from us in the standings. Playoffs seem very out of reach now.

Conor Casey not yet at this week's practice

With Casey being out of the lineup for most of the season, the Rapids haven't had one of their biggest threats on the field. His absence has sure been felt.

Patience a virtue for Colorado Rapid's Joseph Nane

An article from the Denver Post on our hero from the RSL win. Unfortunately Nane didn't look as bright against Dallas as he did last week.
