It's been a little while since we've heard Omar Cummings' name called for the Reggae Boyz but he's finally gotten another call up from the Jamaican national team in anticipation of their game next Wednesday against El Salvador in Washington DC, as announced by the Rapids and by Chris Bianchi on twitter:

Cummings has had 28 appearances for the Reggae Boyz since his first call up back in 2008 and has been one of the more consistent goalscorers for the squad since then, putting the ball in the net seven times in those appearances.

He's got five goals and an assist for the Rapids this season, on pace to out-do his horrific 2011 season which was marred by bad play, bad service and injuries. Perhaps getting back with his national team will help Omar get himself back on track to the form he showed in 2010, when he scored 14 goals.

This may be a bad sign if they were expecting him to play 90 minutes against Chivas USA next weekend, though.
