Oft-maligned forward -- around here, anyway -- Edu missed the Swansea City friendly, but the reason why was assumed to be that he was getting rested after playing against Real Salt Lake. Apparently he had an injury to his foot, and Chris Bianchi put out a tweet earlier on Friday mentioning that the Brazilian would be missing about two weeks of playing time with said foot injury.
Also, Edu MRI came back clean, but expected to miss two weeks with right foot problem

THANK YOU BABY JESUS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO This could prove to be a good thing for a Rapids offense that has struggled mightily to produce goals while Edu has been in the starting XI. Conor Casey looks to be ready for the match against the Sounders, which should help things out as well. I assume we'll see Casey up top with Omar Cummings, Kamani Hill or Tony Cascio come Saturday's match.
