The Colorado Rapids victory over the Portland Timbers on Saturday night quickly became my favorite match of the season before the game even started! The supporters groups of the Rapids and Timbers have quite the friendly rivalry going and had a blast at the tailgates before the game ever started.

If any of you have game-day/tailgate stories to share please post them in the fan section!

But for now, on to our weekly Rapids and MLS links.

Another Rocky Mountain Low, this time a 3-0 defeat

I kind of feel bad for the Timbers, especially their media. They seem upset. But don't worry, we still love playing you guys.

Oregonian game predictions

The Oregonian did not predict the Timbers to lose this game at all. They thought the Rapids defense was full of weak holes! Oh how wrong they were....

Rapids counting on Brian Mullan this season

Mullan has been essential in many of the goals we have recently scored. He's quite the set-up man when he has space to be!

Kind of a no-brainer....now lets hope they also start signing some depth. On defense.

For Colorado Rapids fans, it's hard to be hooligans

This is an old article that I stumbled upon this week from pre MLS Cup days in Colorado. It's an interesting read describing supporters from years past! Check it out.

Inside the Portland Timbers - Seattle Sounders Rivalry

I know, this has nothing to do with the 'Pids, but I was fortunate enough to represent my Rapids at this Cascadia Cup match in Portland last week and this article does a great job describing the atmosphere in Portland. I still love Colorado more, but check out this article to learn about our Timbers Army friends from last nights tailgate!
