In all the hubbub this year about the offensive prowess that the team has picked up through transfers, our original offensive weapon Jamie Smith has been put by the wayside. He tore his ACL last season which has kept him out for quite some time.
Well, the Rapids reserves are playing the Houston Dynamo today, and guess who's getting not only the start in the midfield, but the captain's armband as well?
Jamie smith getting the start. and.he's the captain.

Hopefully this means that our favorite Scotsman is getting back to full health soon, though it will also mean that somebody is going to need to be released so that the international spots aren't overflowing on the team right now -- Harrison Henao is currently taking the first team roster spot that Smith usually holds, so something's gotta give. Either way, good to see Jamie so close to a return.
