I know this is kind of becoming a weekly thing, but it looks like Conor Casey is finally going to be both fit and healthy enough to play for the Colorado Rapids again this weekend when Chivas USA come to town. He was originally supposed to play last weekend against the LA Galaxy but was struck down with strep throat during the week and had to miss several practices which doomed his ability to get on the field come game time.
Hopefully, the projections for Casey being back on the field this weekend are correct.
Casey will be a much needed shot in the arm for the Rapids offense after three straight weeks of mediocre play, as well as an excuse to finally stop playing Omar Cummings up in the top 'target man' forward position. At least, I hope it is. If not, I will have absolutely no idea what the heck's going on.
