Against the Columbus Crew in 2011, the Colorado Rapids went 2-1 in the three games that were played. In 2010, the Rapids went 2-2. Every single one of those wins happened at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, and all of the losses - usually really bad losses, as an aside - were at Columbus Crew Stadium. Essentially, under Gary Smith the Rapids were pretty darn good against the Crew at home.

It's going to be interesting to see if the Rapids can keep their recent home winning streak up, with both teams looking completely different from the 2011 varieties. The Rapids have changed a bunch of players and have a completely new system in place, while the Crew have gone through a significant player overhaul that included losing big names like Andres Mendoza and Robbie Rogers.

The Rapids will need to keep that great home form up against Columbus starting on Saturday for first kick. Since they won't be meeting the Crew on the road - where they've lost 4-1, 3-1 and 2-1 in their last three games - they have an advantage unless they somehow manage to meet Columbus in the MLS Cup final. (You heard it here first, folks! Also, last.)
