Great news, absolutely great news for the Colorado Rapids as they tweeted earlier that Conor Casey is participating in his first training session with the Rapids since he tore his Achilles tendon last year during a game against the Sounders. That means that he will probably be back sooner rather than later, my guess remains late April.

Casey scored six goals last season during an absolute tear of form that saw him notching a goal a game after returning from a hamstring injury before a slip on the grass rug that was up at CenturyLink Field saw him crash to the ground and miss the remainder of the season.

Conor will almost certainly be inserted immediately into the starting lineup as the high central striker when he's healthy enough to do so. His performance shouldnt suffer despite the big injury, as we always say here at Burgundy Wave... what's he gonna lose, his speed?
