Pablo Mastroeni had his first full training session with no helmet in a while on Tuesday. Could he see his swan song with an appearance against the Houston Dynamo?
Pablo Mastroeni officially started training with no helmet on Tuesday, finally getting back in the fray after missing all but two games this season with concussion symptoms.
So, the obvious question that comes up is, will Pablo Mastroeni make a cameo appearance against the Houston Dynamo in front of the fans at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday? Will that be his swan's song instead of an unceremonious retirement halfway through the off season?
We all know that if it was up to Pablo, he would never stop playing. After being held out of playing time with two serious concussions in two years, I don't think that a return next season would be a good idea. With that in mind, I think that this will still be the end of Pablo's career, the question is if he will end his Rapids career with 216 appearances or 217.
It would certainly be wonderful to see him get a reception from the DSGP crowd, a high point to end the terrible season.
