It's not looking good for Colorado fan favorite and the only Japanese player in MLS, Kosuke Kimura. After being left unprotected in the expansion draft list for Colorado, he's been widely hailed as one of the most likely players to be selected tomorrow by the Montreal Impact in the now seemingly annual expansion draft. After almost losing Anthony Wallace last season but for a great trade by Gary Smith to get him back, it looks like we'll be losing another wing-back this season if public opinion is correct on Kimura being one of the 10 best released players available.

With Sanna Nyassi the only likely target to be stolen away, it's looking grim for Kosuke's chances to stay in Colorado if Montreal's front office has any real strategy in this expansion draft. Protecting older guys like Pablo Mastroeni and moderately effective at best players like Matt Pickens was frowned upon by the fanbase when the protected list was released.

All we can really do now is hope that our underrated and energetic right back isn't wearing some Canadian colors come 2012. But hey, maybe they'll surprise us all and take Caleb Folan instead.
